What is Colossus Talent Hub?

Colossus Talent Hub manages 5 data types including candidates. Helps you organize, track, and share your work in 1 place for teams and solo users.

How is Colossus different from a traditional recruiting firm?

Traditional firms charge 20–30% of a candidate's first-year salary, with 30-day guarantees and little transparency. Colossus charges a flat fee based on role level, not salary, and backs every placement with a 12-month replacement guarantee. You know the cost before we start, and you have full pipeline visibility throughout.

What industries do you specialize in?

We place executives across Technology, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Sales, and Construction. Our recruiters have direct experience within each vertical, not just generalist knowledge.

How long does a typical search take?

Most searches complete in 45–90 days, compared to the industry average of 90–120 days. Our combination of AI-powered sourcing and human-led assessment significantly compresses the timeline without sacrificing quality.

What roles do you typically fill?

We focus on individual contributors through C-suite, including Senior Managers, Directors, VPs, SVPs, and C-level executives. We do not typically fill roles below the manager level.

What does the 12-month guarantee actually mean?

If a candidate we place leaves voluntarily or is terminated for performance reasons within 12 months of their start date, we conduct a full replacement search at no additional charge. This applies to both Permanent Hire and RaaS placements.

Do you work on a contingency or retained basis?

We operate on a retained flat-fee model. A portion of the fee is due at kickoff, with the remainder due at placement. This ensures alignment and allows us to dedicate real resources to your search from day one.

Can I see candidate profiles before committing?

Yes. You can browse anonymized candidate profiles in our Marketplace before initiating a formal search. This gives you a sense of the talent pool and lets you flag profiles of interest before we begin outreach.

What happens if I need to pause or cancel a search?

Life happens. If a search is paused or cancelled, you are not charged for work not completed beyond your initial retainer. We'll discuss specifics on a case-by-case basis and always act in good faith.

Is it free to work with Colossus as a candidate?

Yes, completely free. Candidates never pay any fees. We are compensated by the hiring company. Your only investment is your time and the information you share with us so we can represent you well.

How do I get considered for opportunities?

Submit your resume and career preferences through our Candidates page. We'll review your background and reach out if there is an active search that aligns with your goals. We do not send mass emails or spam you with irrelevant roles.

Will my current employer find out I'm looking?

Confidentiality is a core part of how we operate. We never share your identity or submit your profile to any company without your explicit approval first. Every step is reviewed with you before we move forward.

What level of roles do you typically work on?

We focus on manager through C-suite placements across six industries. If you're an experienced professional with a strong track record in your field, we'd love to hear from you.

How does the HireReach self-service tool work?

HireReach is our AI-powered job discovery tool for candidates who want to run their own outreach in parallel. It surfaces best-fit companies, suggests roles, and identifies likely hiring managers, then gives you their contact details so you can reach out directly. Plans start at $199/month.

What if I'm not actively looking, just exploring?

That's completely fine. Many of our best placements start as passive exploratory conversations. There's no pressure or obligation. Share your background and we'll keep you in mind as relevant opportunities come up.

How long does a typical job search take with Colossus?

It varies based on your target role, geography, and market conditions. Most active searches produce a shortlist within 30–45 days. We'll be transparent with you throughout about timelines and expectations.

How is your flat fee calculated?

Our fees are tiered by role level, Individual Contributor, Senior Manager, Director, VP, SVP, and C-Suite, not as a percentage of salary. A VP-level hire is the same flat fee whether the candidate earns $150K or $300K. Contact us for our full fee schedule.

How much do you typically charge vs. a traditional firm?

Traditional firms typically charge 20–30% of first-year salary. On a $180K hire, that's $36,000–$54,000. Our flat fees for comparable roles are often 30–50% lower, and come with a longer guarantee and more transparent process.

What is Recruiting as a Service (RaaS) and how is it priced?

RaaS is a monthly retainer model for companies making 4+ hires per year. You pay a fixed monthly fee for unlimited active searches, plus a reduced per-hire fee on each placement. The combined cost consistently beats paying full Permanent Hire fees for each individual search.

What does the Sourcing Only model cost?

Sourcing Only is available as a monthly subscription. We handle the candidate sourcing and initial screening; you run the interviews and make the final decision. It's our most affordable entry point and is priced well below our full-service options.

Are there any hidden fees or add-ons?

No. Our quoted fee covers the full search, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer support, and the guarantee. The only optional add-on is a success bonus for placements above a certain compensation threshold, which some clients choose to include for alignment purposes.

We operate on a split-payment structure: a portion of the flat fee is collected at kickoff to begin the search, and the remainder is due upon the candidate's accepted offer or start date (depending on the agreement). We do not require full payment upfront.

Can I switch between service models partway through?

Yes. We often credit fees paid toward a different model if your needs change, for example, transitioning from a one-time Permanent Hire to a RaaS engagement as your hiring volume grows. We'll always work with you to find what makes sense.
